Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 31

Die Russisch-Deutsche Legion wurde 1812 auf Anregung Herzogs Peter Friedrich Ludwig von Oldenburg vom Zaren in Russland aufgestellt. Sie stand in russischen Diensten, wurde aber vom Verbündeten Großbritannien bezahlt und ausgerüstet und sollte den Freiheitskampf gegen Napoleon unterstützen.
